On October 6, we organized a scientific seminar on “Tube Model Predictive Control“. The scientific seminar was led by Lenka Galčíková, a PhD student at the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava. The scientific seminar was organized in the framework of the FrontSeat project as part of the seminar series on “Research Seminar on Smart Cybernetics”.

Abstract:

This talk focuses on the topic and challenges of tube model predictive control (MPC). It is an optimal robust control method suitable for linear constrained systems in the presence of bounded disturbances. First, the theoretical background will be recalled, followed by presentation of the results of an experimental implementation of the tube MPC. Moreover, novel ideas leading to lower computational effort will be presented, which makes the tube MPC available for control implementations in higher dimensions of the optimization variables.

This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon under grant no. 101079342 (Fostering Opportunities Towards Slovak Excellence in Advanced Control for Smart Industries).
