The purpose of the visit as a part of the twinning project was to strengthen the collaborative research between our university and UNIPI in Italy.

On Monday, March 20, 2023, Rastislav Fáber, a doctoral student at the Institute of Information Engineering, Automation, and Mathematics, gave a lecture on “Machine Learning-Based Classification of Industrial Datasets” during his stay at the University of Pisa.

On Wednesday, March 22, 2023, Radoslav Paulen, associate professor at the Institute of Information Engineering, Automation, and Mathematics, gave a scientific lecture on “Optimal Control of Batch Membrane Processes” during his stay at the University of Pisa.

On Friday, March 24, 2023, Radoslav Paulen gave a pedagogical lecture for the master students on “Introduction to Optimization” during his stay at the University of Pisa.

The researchers at STU will be working closely with colleagues at UNIPI to exchange ideas, share knowledge, and gain valuable experience. The goal is to further develop research cooperation, build new collaborations, and enhance the academic community’s understanding of our respective fields of study.

This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon under grant no. 101079342 (Fostering Opportunities Towards Slovak Excellence in Advanced Control for Smart Industries).
