Professor Gabriele Pannocchia from the University of Pisa (UNIPI) visited STUBA on June 19-21.
Together with Prof. Miroslav Fikar (STUBA), Prof. Gabriele Pannocchia actively participated in the preparation for the doctoral network. Their combined expertise and collaborative efforts were crucial in shaping the structure and objectives of the doctoral network. They focused on enhancing the academic framework, setting ambitious research goals, and developing strategies to support doctoral candidates in their academic and professional growth.
Prof. Gabriele Pannocchia served as a member of the dissertation exam jury on Friday. Professor Pannocchia provided in-depth feedback, constructive analysis, and insightful comments helping the PhD students Patrik Valábek and Jozef Vargan to further improve their research progress and enhance the quality of their dissertations.
During Professor Pannocchia’s visit, Assoc. Prof. Radoslav Paulen (STUBA) and his PhD student Rastislav Faber, were discussing their research ideas. Together, they pushed forward their joint research cooperation with promising innovative scientific results.
In addition to his academic engagements, Professor Pannocchia participated in a friendly tennis match with Assoc. Prof. Zdenko Takac on Wednesday evening. This event highlighted the importance of balancing academic pursuits with recreational activities and fostering a sense of community.
