On April 28, we organized a scientific seminar on “Nonadditive integrals as a tool for aggregation“. The scientific seminar was led by Ľubomíra Horanská, an associate professor at the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava. The scientific seminar was organized in the framework of the FrontSeat project as part of the seminar series on “Research Seminar on Smart Cybernetics”.

Abstract:

The process of aggregation merging information represented by several values into a single one, is formalized by so-called aggregation functions. We focus on the class of aggregation functions called nonadditive integrals, i.e., integrals based on nonadditive monotone measures.  We will give a brief survey of the construction methods of new classes of fuzzy-integral-based aggregation functions as well as the driving force of such constructions, which is their usefulness in a wide variety of application problems, such as multiple attribute and group decision-making, classification, image processing, etc.

This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon under grant no. 101079342 (Fostering Opportunities Towards Slovak Excellence in Advanced Control for Smart Industries).
