On Wednesday, June 26, 2024, the Faculty of Chemical and Food Technology (FCHPT) hosted the Chemical Fair—CHEMSHOW 2024, and the Institute of Information Engineering, Automation, and Mathematics was excited to participate in this event!

Exploring AI in Industry

High school students had the unique opportunity to delve into the world of artificial intelligence and its application in preventing industrial disasters. This insightful topic was covered in a lecture by Assoc. Prof. Martin Klaučo, PhD. His talk shed light on how AI can be a powerful tool in safeguarding industries from potential catastrophes.

Hands-on Experiences and Laboratory Tours

Our booth was a hub of activity where visitors could experience hands-on control demonstrations. This interactive setup allowed them to get a feel for practical applications of control systems in real-world scenarios.

Additionally, students enjoyed guided tours of our laboratories. The intelligent greenhouse VESNA was a particular highlight, showcasing advanced automation in agriculture. The industrial automation laboratory also captured significant attention, illustrating the practical aspects of process control in industry.

We are grateful to all participants for their enthusiasm and interest. Events like CHEMSHOW 2024 are instrumental in inspiring the next generation of scientists and engineers. We look forward to more opportunities to share our knowledge and innovations.

This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon under grant no. 101079342 (Fostering Opportunities Towards Slovak Excellence in Advanced Control for Smart Industries).
