On Friday, September 26, 2025, the team from the Institute of Information Engineering, Automation, and Mathematics (ÚIAM), Faculty of Chemical and Food Technology, Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava (STU), participated in the European Researchers’ Night held at the Old Market Hall in Bratislava. The nationwide event once again attracted thousands of visitors interested in the latest achievements in science, technology, and innovation.

At the ÚIAM booth, the research group presented demonstrations illustrating how artificial intelligence and modern control technologies can be applied to process automation and decision-making. The exhibits focused on the operation of microprocessor-based control systems capable of acquiring and processing data from multiple sensors, performing model-based predictions, and executing autonomous control actions in real time.

Visitors had the opportunity to explore how digitalization and industrial automation are increasingly interconnected, bringing new possibilities for the optimization of production, logistics, and energy systems. The presentation highlighted the growing role of intelligent algorithms in enabling the sustainable and efficient operation of complex processes.

The participation of the ÚIAM team in the European Researchers’ Night 2025 also reflected the institute’s involvement in the FrontSeat Horizon Europe project, which focuses on advancing automation, control, and digital technologies for education and research. The event thus provided an excellent platform to demonstrate how outcomes of European research initiatives contribute to innovation and public engagement in Slovakia.
