The 14th IFAC Symposium on Dynamics and Control of Process Systems, including Biosystems (DYCOPS 2025) was co-organized by the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava and took place on June 16–19, 2025, at the Radisson Blu Carlton Hotel in the historical center of Bratislava, Slovakia.

The symposium brought together experts in process dynamics and control systems to explore recent theoretical advances and practical applications across various industries, including biosystems.

Social Program

In addition to the rich scientific agenda, DYCOPS 2025 offered participants a unique opportunity to experience Slovak culture through two performances from the TECHNIK Academic Artistic Ensemble of the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava. These cultural events created a perfect balance between professional exchange and social interaction, allowing attendees to connect in a relaxed and inspiring atmosphere.

Technik Chamber Orchestra

On Tuesday evening, the conference hall transformed into a concert space as the Technik Chamber Orchestra delighted the audience with a diverse selection of works from various musical styles and eras. Founded in 1965, the orchestra unites passionate amateur musicians of all ages under professional guidance, with a repertoire that also highlights Slovak and lesser-known composers.

The artistic director and conductor Mirko Krajči led the performance, joined by distinguished violinist František Török as concertmaster. The 2024/2025 season’s guest conductor, Ken-Wassim Ubukata, brought his unique interpretation to the program, making the concert a memorable highlight of the symposium.

Technik Folklore Ensemble

The social program continued at the symposium banquet with a vibrant performance by the Technik Folklore Ensemble. Established in 1953, the ensemble is dedicated to preserving and promoting the rich traditions of Slovak folklore. The evening’s program featured dynamic dances, traditional songs, and an engaging interactive segment, where participants could try on authentic folk costumes and learn basic dance variations.

Comprising mainly students and graduates from Bratislava’s universities and high schools, the ensemble draws inspiration from diverse regions of Slovakia, showcasing their unique styles and cultural heritage. Their passionate performance created an atmosphere of warmth and community, leaving guests with lasting memories of Slovak tradition.

This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon under grant no. 101079342 (Fostering Opportunities Towards Slovak Excellence in Advanced Control for Smart Industries).
