The 8th IFAC Conference on Nonlinear Model Predictive Control (NMPC 2024), held every three years, is one of the flagship events of the International Federation of Automatic Control (IFAC). This year’s conference took place in Kyoto, Japan, from August 21 to 24, 2024. The International Program Committee curated an exciting technical program focused on advancements in model predictive control, including the management of complex nonlinear systems, robust control, and intelligent control strategies. This global conference provided an excellent opportunity to share our research findings and exchange ideas with colleagues from around the world.
Vittoria Garrucciu – Riccardo Bacci di Capaci – Marco Vaccari – Silvia Manara – Federico Bucciarelli – Annamaria Signorini – Gabriele Pannocchia: “Efficient NMPC strategies for thermal stress control of steam turbines“
Martin Mönnigmann – Robin Hill – Alberto Bemporad – Gabriele Pannocchia: “Symbolic Dynamics of Active Sets of a Class of Nonlinear Optimal Control and MPC Problems”
Prof. Martin Mönnigmann was also the Chairman of the “Structure Exploitation” session.
Raphael Dyrska was also selected as a finalist for the “IFAC NMPC 2024 Best Interactive Presentation Award.”
This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon under grant no. 101079342 (Fostering Opportunities Towards Slovak Excellence in Advanced Control for Smart Industries).
