On February 23, we organized a scientific seminar on “New Methods for Modeling, Estimation and Control of Biosystems“. The scientific seminar was led by Martin Dodek, an Assistant Professor at Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava, Slovakia. The scientific seminar was organized in the framework of the FrontSeat project as part of the seminar series on “Research Seminar on Smart Cybernetics”.
Abstract:
Biocybernetics is a multidisciplinary scientific field that offers interesting options for further research of original engineering approaches being applied to processes in living organisms. We present the research of new mathematical, statistical, and cybernetic methods applied to biosystems and, particularly, to the dynamics of glycemia in subjects with type 1 diabetes. These methods address partial subproblems such as system identification, optimal state estimation, estimation of statistical models, and optimal impulsive disturbance rejection and control.
This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon under grant no. 101079342 (Fostering Opportunities Towards Slovak Excellence in Advanced Control for Smart Industries).
